To all my Orlando people, take a second to look at this thread regarding voting in August.

One of the MOST important seats is up for election and that seat is STATE ATTORNEY.

The incumbent state attorney, Aramis Ayala who’s reform-minded policies have overhauled much of the office and its approach to criminal justice....

is not running again because time and time again her policies would get blackballed (we all know why).

One of the 5 candidates has the same agenda as Ayala regarding reform and her name is Monique Worrell. You may know her from REFORM ALLIANCE.

A little bit of background on her opponents:

Ryan Williams - Former assistant to Ayala who quit on her in 2017 in protest of her policies.
He’s ridiculously backed financially aka HE’S BOUGHT.

Belvin Perry - the judge that oversaw the Casey Anthony trial...enough said.

Deb Barra - was an assistant to Ayala and the Chief of the Sex Crimes unit. She has also been an instructor at the POLICE ACADEMY FOR 10 YEARS.

And last but not least we have our dream candidate Monique.

Monique Worrell - Like Williams & Barra, Monique was also an assistant to Ayala and served as the director for CONVICTION INTEGRITY. Monique resigned to join the REFORM ALLIANCE which has the backing of Jay Z & Meek Mill.

Monique also brings extensive experience and versatility as she has been a public defender, defense attorney & a law professor.

“As a country, we incarcerate people at the highest rate in the world. As the state of Florida, we incarcerate our citizens at a rate higher rate than the national average..”

50% of all prisoners in Florida are Black but only make up 17% of the population!

To recap, the 1st black state attorney in FL history has been suppressed in her pursuit of justice. BUT we the people will not only keep them from overturning the changes she was able to make, we will also build on top of them with increasing momentum by voting
