January 28, 2020: The solo version of “Before The Storm” by the Jonas Brothers with the original lyrics was released as part of the Jonas Vinyl Club. They had previously reworked the lyrics for the album version featuring Miley Cyrus, which was released in 2009.

March 18, 2020: During her “Bright Minded” series on Instagram, Miley talked about talking with her middle/high school boyfriend on the phone until she fell asleep - which she was known to do with Nick early in their relationship.

March 20, 2020: JoJo Siwa posted a vlog with footage of Miley Cyrus rehearsing several throwback songs including “7 Things” and “See You Again”. Miley has not performed “7 Things” in front of an audience in nearly a decade.

March 23, 2020: During another episode of “Bright Minded”, Miley mentioned making mixed CDs for her former boyfriend when she was younger - very likely talking about Nick as they often made playlists for each other.

April 3, 2020: During a virtual appearance on The Tonight Show, Miley confirmed that she had planned to perform “7 Things” at a benefit concert in Australia for the first time since 2011 - which was unfortunately cancelled.

May 15, 2020: The Jonas Brothers’ released their new single “X” and many people speculated that the “ex” mentioned in the lyrics referred to Miley Cyrus.
