A fun thing to do is explain you have ADHD to someone only don’t use the name just say “a neurological condition that... [symptom]” and watch how seriously they take it until you tell them it’s ADHD.

I have a neurological condition that makes it difficult for me to order my memories with respect to time so when you say “remember the route we took last week” I have no way of knowing which one that is.
