It is devastating that the multiple recent high profile productions have cast sexual abusers, the antithesis or what the musical preaches against. The people this endangers MOST are the Latina womxn in the cast.

If WSS is a box office failure, the producers will not blame their privileged white male rapist star. They will find a way to blame the unknown cast, mostly queer people of color. Stephen Freaking Spielberg gave these actors a chance. And it needs to jump their careers.

So listen to this story. Listen to Rachel Zegler talk about what it means to hate. And use that fire to demand Elgort and young men like men like him be held accountable. He belongs in jail. This isn’t just about petty “cancelling”.

Ansel Elgort is the same age as me, we were born the same month. He is not an old Hollywood star who is from a generation of men who will be retiring soon. When we say “times up”, that’s ESPECIALLY important to consider the NEXT generation of film stars. And above all we must
