The Evolution of Adama Traoré Diarra (and his arms). A THREAD:
Adama started off his career in Barcelona’s youth system, and was a success in their B team, playing in the Spanish Segunda División.

In the 2014/15 season, he completed more dribbles than any other player in Europe’s top 5 leagues, ahead of Eden Hazard and even Leo Messi. 👀
Traoré only had one appearance for Barça’s first team, after coming on for Cesc Fàbregas in a UCL match against Ajax. His career in Spain ended there.
He joined Aston Villa in August 2015 for £7m with a three year buy back clause.

His debut was a success as his cross lead to a Crystal Palace own goal, and three days later he scored against Notts County in a League Cup win.
Adama’s career for the Villans was under threat after he was dropped from the squad due to indiscipline...

That season, Villa were relegated.
After a summer move to fellow Championship team Middlesbrough, Traoré went 31 matches without scoring a single goal. Not the best season in all fairness.
His form, and arms alike, grew in the 17/18 season. Adama scored 5 times and assisted 10.

It didn’t end well for Middlesbrough that year, however, as they went on to the play-offs- only to be knocked out by Villa, Traoré’s former team. 😂
Despite a not-so-promising end, Traoré impressed many teams that year and landed an £18m transfer to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

He only managed one goal and three assists in 36 games for Wolves. 😬
The 19/20 season has seen a massive improvement to Adama’s game.

He made himself known after his brace against Man City back in October.
It didn’t stop there, as Traoré once again haunted Manchester City in an incredible comeback that saw Wolves beat the title-holders 3-2.

He won PFA player of the month in January.
And then we’re back to today. Adama came on as a sub in Wolves’ first post-lockdown game to assist Raul Jiménez’s opener and be heavily involved in Neto’s wonderstrike.

It’s only up from here. 💪🏾

Correction. He had four appearances for Barca’s senior team.

And scored once, in an 8-1 win over Huesca in the Copa del Rey.
