NEW -- At CrossFit, Inc., sexism was a feature not a bug.
The wifi password at a CrossFit company office in San Diego, and at co-founder Greg Glassman’s home, was “wetpussy.” https://www.nytimes.com/2020/06/20/style/greg-glassman-crossfit-sexism.html">https://www.nytimes.com/2020/06/2...

In 2012, Mr. Glassman agreed to pay a financial settlement to a former employee. Among many other incidents, during a company get-together at a bar, Mr. Glassman stood next to her and a friend of his and said, "Do you think we could teach this bitch to give a good hand job?”
One day, his pilot @AndyStumpf77 drove him to the airport.
“We were in the car and he was chuckling,” said Mr. Stumpf, in an interview. “I asked why he was in such a good mood and he said, ‘I finally finished up with the bullshit with Julie; I had to pay that whore.’”

I have reported many stories in my day, and I& #39;ve heard a lot of things. But I have never, ever had my jaw drop to the ground during an interview as I did when a source told me about the WiFi password.
One former employee did speak in defense of Greg Glassman:
“I’m not into painting someone into an evil person just because he might have been misogynistic,” he said.

With special thanks to @AlexandraJacobs for such rigorous + inspired editing, and with great apologies to the standards editors who had their work cut out for them with this one. (There are many words in early drafts that are artfully cut, but referenced, in the final version.)
In a podcast interview for the CrossFit Journal Sevan Matossian, a deputy of Mr. Glassman’s, interviewed Stacie Tovar, a popular CrossFit athlete.

Employees were told to be flattered if Glassman wanted to "fuck" them.
“He& #39;d say stuff like, & #39;she’s so annoying, I wouldn’t fuck her if she spread her legs for me right here.’ The use of ‘whore, pussy’ was constant in referring to women in the community." https://www.nytimes.com/2020/06/20/style/greg-glassman-crossfit-sexism.html">https://www.nytimes.com/2020/06/2...
