I came to get a free COVID-19 test with my mom in Maryvale, on 66th Ave. & Encanto. We got in line at 5:30 am.

Six hours later, we’re still waiting to get tested.

Why is it so challenging to get tested?
I’ve seen cars that waited hours, were ahead of me and left.

For some, I’m sure they have kids or jobs to get to. So I don’t blame them.
It’s now been an eight-hour wait and my gas light came on. I underestimated how long this was going to take.
My mom saw a @azfamily cameraman, she waived him down so he can interview me about this wait. 🤣
*waved
It’s been close to 11 hours, a man got out of his truck shaking, asking anyone for water. He said he’s been in line since 5 am

My mom gave him a bottle of Arizona tea. Other people are asleep in their cars.
Equality Health says they’re having internet problems. So even though we’re next to get tested, we still need to wait.
I met a man named Jason. He said he’s been in line since 6 am. Him and his passenger have the chills and headaches. His passenger lost her sense of taste.
The internet is still down. Equality Health employee is now using my hotspot to get us registered
Her laptop overheated. So, from the beginning “dob? Name? Address?”
I’m not sure when this happened but there were 100s of cars behind me. They’re all gone. At some point they turned down people.
“I don’t know if I should feel frustrated or sad,” my mom says.
It’s been 13 hours and we still haven’t been tested.
It’s 6:40 pm. It took 13 hours to get a COVID-19 test in Maryvale. Drive-thru testing will be available next Sat at same place (Desert West Park).
