this isn't the place to fight about ships please! i just wanna have fun and discuss the songs

KATAANG // EVERYTHING HAS CHANGED
- whenever i listen to this song, i think about katara finding aang in the iceberg
- "all i know is we said hello and your eyes look like coming home" YUP YUP
- i associate it with all my favorite friends to lovers ships so

MAIKO // THE LAST TIME
- this song is about knowing you'll always go back to a certain person no matter how many times you claim it's over because can't help how you feel about them, which captures the essence of maiko perfectly!!

AZULA // I DID SOMETHING BAD
- as she phrased it herself, she's a "people's person", which is why she's constantly two steps ahead of everyone
- "burning all the witches even if you aren't one" can refer to her mum seeing her as a monster when she was a kid

ZUKKA // CRUEL SUMMER
- it's more of a concept of what i would've wanted their arc to be like if they had been canon
- it's a relationship that starts off fragile bc both people want to take it casually but end up catching feelings, and if this isn't every zukka fic i've read

ZUTARA // HAUNTED
- "don't leave me like this, i thought i had you figured out" SCREAMS "i was the the first one to trust you, remember? back in ba sing se"
- i don't know how to describe it but this is the enemies to lovers anthem
- i just feel like it encapsulates them

TYZULA // THE ARCHER
- it represents the anxiety that comes with everyone you love betraying you over and over until you're too scared to open up to anyone again, but then this (1) person comes along and gives you hope
- ty lee and azula brought out each other vulnerabilities

SUKKA // HOW YOU GET THE GIRL
- ari helped me pick this one and it's SO them
- i mean sokka didn't have to make all that effort to win her back but that s2 kiss was PRETTY smooth
- this song is dorky, they're dorky, we're all in a pool of dorkiness

THE GAANG // LONG LIVE
- it was MADE for the found family trope
- they just went through sm together and triumphed
- "we will be remembered" i mean it's been more than a decade and people are still talking about them! their power!

YUKKA // WILDEST DREAMS
- it has their "aura" if that makes sense
- "someday when you leave me, i bet these memories follow you around" do i need to say more?
- sokka and yue had the star crossed lovers thing going to some extent too so there's that.

IROH&ZUKO // SAFE AND SOUND
- iroh just wanted to protect his nephew at all costs
- all i know is someone needs to edit them to it (gonna force ari to do it later)

ZUKO // INNOCENT
- this one wasn't written about redemption arcs, REDEMPTION ARCS were written about it.
- "wasn't it beautiful when you believed in everything and everybody believed in you?" lemme go cry in the corner for a sec

HAMA // LOOK WHAT YOU MADE ME DO
-ofc the ultimate revenge song was gonna go to her
- the spooky feels to it bring me back to that whole puppetmaster ep oof

AZULA,MAI,TYLEE // BAD BLOOD
- about broken friendships and betrayal so y'all saw this one coming
- azula's grudge was so strong that she lost her mental stability after they decided to team up against her

KATARA // THE MAN
- katara is a feminist icon and that's on what? perry@
- she would've been much more appreciated in the fandom if she were a male character and it shows. it makes me sad because her arc is one of the most complex
- defeated zuko in 4 seconds. no literally.

SOKKLA // DON'T BLAME ME
- i have no explanation for this one except that i had to seize the opportunity to give them a reputation song.
- i can TOTALLY see azula listening to the album and changing her ringtone to dbm

AANG // CHANGE
- he had to master all four elements in a matter of months. MONTHS! and although he didn't succeed immediately, he never gave up
- was 12/13 when he lit rally saved the whole world. this account won't tolerate aang hate whatsoever

JINKO // TODAY WAS A FAIRTYALE
- the track basically describes a cute date so i had to!
- there's nothing more to say i think?

SOKKA // NEW ROMANTICS
- it doesn't directly embody him BUT it's got that sokka energy to it, ya know?
- it speaks about young love and he's the one who's had the most romantic interactions in the show
- his name literally means "loverboy" in zulu

JET // I FORGOT THAT YOU EXISTED
- song title says it all.
- ari suggested this one. she's right and she should be allowed to say it.
