Kirishima almost died. The weird part about it was that he didn’t care. And not that he didn’t fear death because of course he did. He hadn’t been feeling depressed and he hadn’t been feeling that intense vulnerability that he felt in middle school. +
So, mentally he was feeling alright.
He didn’t care that he almost died because he had some sort of death wish. No.
He didn’t care because he had felt so alive. +
He had been patrolling with Fatgum and Tamaki before they saw a few thugs surrounding a crowd of innocent people. They immediately took action to help the victims until they realized it was a trap. +
Tens of shadowed beings revealed themselves from the top of the buildings surrounding them. Backup had to be called and Endeavor and his interns joined them on the scene. Bakugo joined them. +
Kirishima went unbreakable and defended the victims as much as he could while Tamaki and Fatgum fought right in front. Neither of them knew what their quirks were. There were just too many of them.
Then Kirishima heard Bakugo's maniacal laugh and something switched in him. +
He carried the citizens to safety and told them to run before returning to the battle ground, a smile appearing on his face, his sharp teeth covered in blood from the blows he had taken earlier. +
Deku was fighting with Todoroki, Endeavor and Fatgum were back-to-back whispering strategies to each other, and Tamaki had a few men tied up with his tentacles.
Kirishima was by himself too, smashing two thugs faces together with his hardened arms before they fell unconscious. +
But then he felt a hand on his shoulder and before he could move he heard Bakugo whisper to him "I want to try something." +
Seconds later Bakugo grabbed him and blasted him at a few villains like a bullet from a pistol. Kirishima had hardened his whole body and had gotten four of the thugs. His eyes widened and he gave Bakugo a thumbs up before they continued to fight alongside each other. +
The minutes passed and the adrenaline pumping through Kirishima felt hot and electric. He and Bakugo were completely in sync, the two of them an unstoppable force and Kirishima couldn't stop laughing from the feel of it all. +
It was addicting.
Fighting with Bakugo was addicting.
At one point he forgot that the other heroes were even there and that it wasn't just him and his best friend.
It almost felt like the two were dancing and he didn't want it to stop. +
"RED RIOT PUNCH THAT BASTARD BEHIND YOU!"
He did.
"ARCH YOUR BACK I'M GOING TO JUMP!"
He did.
"GRAB MY HAND!"
He did. He did. He did. +
He never knew he could feel this strong before. It was dangerous. Everything was dangerous and that's why he kept going. He ignored his pain and his fatigue because Bakugo's laughter was louder. +
By the end of it he knew they both must've looked like complete messes. Kirishima had broken ribs, a busted shoulder, several cuts and bruises, and he had even gotten stabbed at some point. The sword would've killed him if he hadn't hardened himself.
But they won. +
They actually won and he couldn't help the large smile that appeared on his face.
"You did good, Red Riot." Fatgum said, patting his back.
Kirishima chuckled and nodded.
"You gotta be more careful though next time. You were a little reckless." +
"Was I?" He said sheepishly.
Fatgum chuckled too.
"You and Ground Zero can't save people if you're both stuck in hospital beds, yeah?"
Kirishima nodded again before his eyes widened.
Ground Zero.
Bakugo.
Where was Bakugo? +
His eyes searched for his best friend briefly before he found the other boy talking to Endeavor, the two looking like they just finished their chat.
When the man turned to talk to his son, Kirishima ran over to Bakugo, his adrenaline still pumping. +
"Hey, man!" He shouted.
Bakugo turned to him and grunted.
"That was so amazing! We were on fire out there!"
"Hell yeah we were."
"We really were! When you threw me like that I was scared as shit but then we got the guys and-" +
"You slammed those bastards to the ground." Bakugo interrupted.
Kirishima nodded excitedly.
"And when you ran across that building-"
"And jumped on your back-"
"And blew up all that debris! That was so damn COOL!" +
"How about when you smashed that boulder with your bare fucking hands. What the hell was that shit?!"
"I DON'T KNOW! I JUST DID IT!"
"Yeah you damn did."
Kirishima laughed and Bakugo surprisingly did to.
"God, man I just FEEL-"
"Like an idiot?"
"NO, SHUT UP! Like... LIKE- +
Kirishima smiled widely before grabbing Bakugo's face and kissing him, hard. +
"Like I can do anything, you know?!"
Kirishima laughed once more before Fatgum called him over to talk to the cops that just arrived.
"Gotta go man! See you later!"
Kirishima waved him off, not realizing how Bakugo was frozen in place, his eyes wide and his face bright red. +
After finishing some paperwork and tending to his own wounds, Fatgum dropped him off back at the UA dorms. He ate dinner and took a quick shower before finally going to bed.
He was going to have to go to recovery girl's office tomorrow so she could heal the rest of him. +
Meaning he was also probably gonna have to skip class to rest. Oh well.
He smiled anyway, the fight still on his mind.
He was so glad his best friend was the one that got their alert.
He always felt so powerful when he fought with Bakugo. +
They truly were an amazing duo and he could tell that Bakugo felt the same.
He wondered how he was doing. He was probably in his room now too. It was very late.
Was he as happy as he was right now? Was he also going over the fight in his head repeatedly? +
Kirishima sighed once more before finally closing his eyes.
"Oh Bakugo." He whispered.
The room stayed silent for a few seconds before Kirishima's eyes suddenly blew wide open.
"Wait."
He quickly sat up, groaning in pain after doing so, but ignoring it right after. +
Kirishima went over his memories of tonight once more, skimming through them like a movie, observing every scene before one in particular popped up.
Kirishima's face instantly reddened and he smacked his mouth with his own hand.
"FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK-" +
In a moment of passion he had kissed his best friend.
His best friend who he was madly in love with.
His best friend who had no clue how he felt.

He kissed Bakugo Katsuki. +
Kirishima didn't get much sleep. How could he when he made one of the biggest mistakes of his life?! He didn't even see Bakugo's reaction after he kissed him. Kirishima hadn't even told Bakugo that he was gay, let alone in love with him. +
What if his best friend was disgusted? What if Kirishima ran into him the next day and Bakugo killed him, or even worse, ignored him.
He could always play it off as a joke, but Bakugo was smart and knew Kirishima too well. He always knew when he was lying. +
Besides, Kirishima didn't want to lie about that.

He didn't remember what time he eventually dozed off but once he woke up he groaned and slowly started to get himself ready. He felt like crap. +
He ate a protein bar for breakfast, not feeling ready to eat with the others just yet and made his way to Recovery Girl's office. She fixed him up and pinched his cheek sweetly when she noticed his frown. He gave her a small smile.
"Do I return to class?" He asked. +
She shrugged.
"You can if you'd like. But if you still feel uncomfortable in any way it'd be best to get some rest."
He considered possibly using this as a ticket to avoid the inevitable for one more day. +
However, he did feel perfectly fine and he didn't think it'd be manly to do so. So, he sucked it up and nodded before making his way out the door.
"Thank you ma'am." +
Once he entered the classroom all eyes were on him. He didn't dare to even look for his best friend. He went straight for his seat, and waved to everyone, answering a few questions about the battle before Aizawa silenced them. +
He tried to pay attention to the lecture but couldn't keep his focus. His mind was too overwhelmed. His eyes were trying so hard not to look at Bakugo.
As soon as the bell rang he immediately got out of his seat and darted to his next class. +
Kaminari and Sero ran after him, Bakugo nowhere in sight.

And that's how the rest of the day went. At lunch he didn't drag Bakugo along with him. He sat with his friends, hoping the other boy wouldn't approach him.
He didn't. +
He went to workout by himself, scared that Bakugo would join him.
He didn't.
He kept his distance and Bakugo blatantly did as well.
His chest ached. +
At dinner, Kirishima sat with his friends per usual. However, his best friend was absent from the table, most likely eating by himself in his room.
He internally sighed, constantly rubbing his own hands together as he forced a smile. +
No one seemed to notice his forced behavior until he sat down on the couch and was approached by Midoriya.
"Hi Kirishima."
"Hey Midoriya! What's up, man?"
The other boy rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly.
"I was wondering if I could talk to you for a second?" +
"Yeah, sure? What about?"
Midoriya cleared his throat and glanced over at Mina who was sitting right beside him.
"Alone?"
Kirishima's eyebrows rose before he slowly nodded and got up.
"Oh, okay." +
Kirishima looked over at Mina for a second and the girl shrugged before he turned back to face his friend.
They walked over to a corner by the end of the room, no one surrounding them.
"Is everything okay?" He asked, concerned. +
He noticed the light blush that appeared on Midoriya's cheeks and he grew more and more confused as the seconds flew by.
"I-uh... I'm fine! I'm actually worried about you."
"About me?"
Midoriya nodded, his eyes glancing to the floor quickly. +
"I feel fine, man. I appreciate the concern. Very manly of you to check up on a bro, but there's nothing to worry about."
He wasn't fine, but he didn't expect Midoriya to be the one to call him out on it. +
His friend met his eyes again, except this time he looked more serious. He sighed.
"I'm actually concerned about both you and um...Kacchan."
Kirishima felt his face instantly warm up at the sound of his best friend's nickname.
"Me and B-Bakugo? Why?!" +
Midoriya took a deep breath and bowed, his eyes closing tightly.
"I noticed that you both seemed to be avoiding each other all day and Kacchan's performance in class was honestly not the greatest. I wasn't sure if you two were fighting and-" +
"Hey, hey, Midoriya, go a little slower I-"
"I know it's not my place to really say anything but I care about both of you. And I could tell that he really wanted you to talk to him. Even though he'd never say it. I-
"B-bro!" +
"I'm not completely sure what's going on. But I'm assuming it had to do with the-" Deku gulped. "The kiss..."
Kirishima's eyes popped out of his head.
"YOU SAW THAT-"
"W-we all did." +
Kirishima instantly hid his face behind his hands and hoped he would suffocate and die right there since it'd be better than having to continue listening to this conversation.
He groaned loudly, his hands muffling the sound. +
"Kirishima, it's okay! Both Shouto and I agreed to not tell anyone."
Kirishima groaned even louder. He felt Midoriya's hands on his shoulders.
"I'm only bringing it up because you both must be feeling a lot right now-" +
"And I don't know what exactly happened or if you both have already talked about it, but if not I think maybe you should?"
Kirishima took a deep breath before finally dropping his hands and revealing his reddened face. +
"We haven't talked about it."
"Ah, I see."
"He-" Kirishima sighed. "He hasn't talked to me all day."
"Have you tried talking to him?"
Kirishima shook his head in a guilty manner. +
"What the hell am I even supposed to say, Midoriya?! How can I look at him?!"
His friend gave him a sympathetic look and Kirishima wanted to cry.
"If it's okay for me to ask, do you like Kacchan romantically?"
Kirishima felt his whole body tense. +
Midoriya seemed to notice since he quickly removed his hands.
"I'm sorry. You really don't have to answer."
"No, i-it's fine. Just took me off guard is all." He forced out a chuckle. It sounded sad even to him. +
"I do." He took a deep breath and looked Midoriya right in the eye. "I do like him. I think I-"
He swallowed the last two words before he had a chance to say them, but he knew Midoriya was smart enough to know what they were. +
His friend simply nodded.
"That's why I can't, man. What if I ruined everything?"
"You didn't ruin everything."
"How do you know?!"
"Because Kacchan cares about you."
Kirishima didn't say anything. He rubbed his eyes instead, hoping he wouldn't start crying. +
Midoriya continued.
"Kacchan is an asshole. He always has been. He never was truly friends with anyone. But then he met you and the others and I've noticed how he's changed."
Kirishima sniffled.
"Even though he's an asshole, he's a loyal one." +
"I'm not sure if he reciprocates your romantic feelings, but I do know that no matter what, he will stay by your side. He sees you as his equal he wouldn't let a kiss come between you two."
Kirishima bit his lip. +
"That's why I think you should talk to him. You don't have to confess, but at least reassure him that you still want to be his friend as well."
"Of course I want to still be his friend."
"Yeah, but he may not know that."
"Why wouldn't he?" +
"Because like I said, he's an asshole. This genuine friendship that he has with you is all knew to him. You need to help him train."
Kirishima thought about his best friend and nodded in response.
Midoriya was right. +
"Yeah," Kirishima whispered. "He really is an asshole."
Midoriya chuckled and Kirishima did as well. He suddenly felt a burst of determination run through him.
"But he's my asshole. I'm going to talk to him."
Midoriya nodded and smiled softly at him. +
"Thank you, man. I really needed to hear that."
Before his friend could respond he quickly pulled him into a tight hug. Midoriya froze at the beginning, obviously surprised by the sudden contact. But he quickly loosened up and embraced him back.
"No problem." +
"I'm going to talk to him right now."
Midoriya patted his back and they pulled a part.
Kirishima made a fist, a determined smile on his face.
"How can I call myself a man if I ignore my best friend."
The other boy chuckled before nodding once more.
"You've got this." +
Kirishima thanked him again before turning on his feet and running out of the room.
He heard a few of his classmates calling out his name from behind, but he simply waved before continuing to the elevator. +
He felt his hands shaking, his adrenaline pumping through his veins as he heard the elevator go up. He wasn't sure what he was going to say exactly, but the fact that he was going to see Bakugo at all had his stomach fluttering. +
Once he got to their floor, he ran again, as fast as he could.
He took a single deep breath once he was in front of Bakugo's door before knocking two times. +
After a few seconds he didn't hear anything so he knocked again, a little harder.
He heard the boy groan loudly from the other side.
"WAIT A GODDAMN SECOND! I'M CO-"
Once he opened the door they both froze. +
Bakugo was wearing a black tank top, his hair was freshly wet with a few drops falling on his shoulders. The tip of his nose was red and Kirishima shoved his hands in his pockets, nervously. +
He could smell his shampoo from there. As much as he wanted to look away, he forced himself to keep eye contact.
"Hey, dude." He said shyly.
Bakugo stared at him confused, only nodding in acknowledgment after a few seconds of silence. +
"I haven't seen you all day." He chuckled awkwardly. What happened to all the confidence he had moments ago? "Can I, uh, come in?"
Bakugo stared at him again, dumbfounded, before he grunted and stepped aside, opening the door further. +
Kirishima walked in and could feel his best friend's eyes on the back of his head.
He sat at the edge of Bakugo's bed and played with a loose thread from his comforter.
"So, what are you doing?" He asked. +
Bakugo closed his door and stood in front of him, ignoring the empty spot beside Kirishima.
"Studying." He said.
"Oh, for what?"
"Our english test on Friday."
"Oh shit, I forgot about that." +
Bakugo rolled his eyes.
"You have a fucking agenda for a reason. Use it."
"Look, man I forget."
"Yeah, obviously."
"Hey!"
Bakugo simply 'tsk'd' before the room grew silent. +
Kirishima twirled the thread around his index finger. Bakugo stared at it.
"Why are you here?" Bakugo asked.
Kirishima felt his cheeks redden.
"Wanted to see you."
"Why now? You've been avoiding me all day."
"You've been avoiding me too." +
"You avoided me first."
Kirishima opened his mouth to respond but he quickly closed it, his eyes turning to the floor.
He shrugged.
"I didn't mean to..."
That was a lie.
Bakugo sighed.
"You're a shit liar." +
"I w-wasn't lying!"
Why was he so scared?
"You haven't answered my question."
Kirishima's eyes widened.
"Why now, Kirishima?"
His heart squeezed painfully at the sound of his own name. +
"Because I kissed you!"
Neither of them expected him to respond that way, the two looking at each other now with bright red faces.
"A-and I think we should talk about it." He continued.
"Okay then." Bakugo took two steps closer to him. "Talk."
Kirishima gulped. +
"I didn't even realize I did it till last night." He scratched the top of his head. "I guess I was hyped up. I mean shit dude, we fought a hell of a fight, you know? I felt on fire!"
He finally looked at Bakugo and saw how the other boy was looking back intensely. +
"It was one of those 'in the moment' kind of scenes I suppose. I didn't mean to jump you like that, man. That's why I couldn't talk to you today. I felt embarrassed and-"
*scared*
"I wasn't sure if it pissed you off. I'm sorry." +
"The fuck?"
Kirishima felt his heart stop. He was about to apologize again until Bakugo continued.
"That's why you avoided me? Dumbass. I figured it was because your ass was excited." +
Kirishima narrowed his eyes.
"Huh."
Bakugo rolled his eyes.
"Why else would you have done that shit? I thought something else must've happened. Was that really it?"
"What do you mean was that really it?!"
Why was Kirishima starting to get mad? +
"Normally people would've suspected it was because of something else, man! Of course I freaked out!"
"Something else? Why the fuck else would you kiss me for?!"
Kirishima was fuming. He felt his heart racing and he wasn't sure why. His hands were starting to sweat. +
"Are you being for real? Are you really that stupid?" Kirishima asked genuinely, his hands now forming into fists.
"Who are you calling stupid, dumbass?!"
"You!"
Bakugo stepped closer.
"Look who's talking! The guy who avoided me for a whole damn day!" +
"Because of the damn implications of a surprise kiss that you for some reason don't comprehend!"
He was yelling now, his face red for another reason.
"What is there to comprehend?! Why else would you kiss me?!" +
Kirishima stood up and grabbed onto Bakugo's tank top, pulling him closer to his face.
"Because I like you?! That's the most obvious damn thing!
"But you don't!"
Kirishima groaned in frustration.
"I'M IN LOVE WITH YOU IDIOT!" +
Both of their eyes widened immediately at that. Bakugo didn't respond. Kirishima didn't breathe. They looked at each other in silence, Kirishima's fingers twitching around Bakugo's tank top.
"Kirishima." Bakugo said.
"I- fuck. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck." +
He quickly let go of Bakugo's shirt and took a large step back, the back of his legs hitting the end of Bakugo's bed.
He covered his mouth with both hands.
"Hey-" Bakugo tried, but before he could finish his sentence, Kirishima ran past him. +
"KIRISHIMA, WAIT!"
His best friend yelled after him. He couldn't breathe. He felt like he was drowning. All he could do was run while his vision started to blur, tears starting to build.
"Fuck. Fuck. Fuck." He kept muttering to himself. +
He didn't know where he was going, his body just moved by itself and he let it. He didn't know if anyone saw him, he didn't care. he kept moving. He'd never been more scared in his entire life. He wore his anguish and panic like a straight jacket. +
Before he knew it, he was outside behind the school.
He heard his name being yelled from behind him and he ran even faster. He thought he was actually going to successfully get away from the situation, from Bakugo, from his feelings, but then someone tackled him to the grass. +
He landed pretty roughly but he didn't care. Nothing hurt as much as his chest did.
His wrists were pinned right above his head, Bakugo's legs kept his knees together, keeping him still and unmoving.
"Kirishima, breathe." +
"Let go of me!"
"No! Not until you breathe and look at me."
"No!"
"Kirishima!"
"Fuck!"
"Kirishima, please."
He considered hardening his body, maybe scaring Bakugo off. But he didn't want to hurt his best friend. He didn't want any of this. He'd already done enough damage. +
After Bakugo called his name one more time, Kirishima finally stopped moving, and let his whole body go limp. He kept his eyes shut, refusing to look at his friend.
Bakugo sighed.
"Please, breathe for me."
He never heard Bakugo's voice sound that gentle, that pained. +
He sniffled and finally obliged, taking a deep breath.
"Another."
He did.
"Good. One more time."
He didn't realize he was crying until he felt Bakugo's thumb softly wipe a tear away.
"Can you look at me?" +
Kirishima shook his head.
"I'm not mad at you."
He wished Bakugo was mad at him. He wished he yelled. He wished he'd threaten to burn him alive. Anything would be better than hearing him so dejected. +
Kirishima continued to cry and Bakugo continued to wipe away his tears for a while until his best friend finally grabbed both sides of his face and rested his forehead right on his. He felt his warm breath on his skin. +
"You can cry or whatever. Don't feel embarrassed. You're still manly."
Kirishima still didn't respond.
"I'm not...good with this kind of stuff. With emotions and feelings. That's why I didn't say shit like an idiot back in the room. That wasn't...okay." +
Was Bakugo apologizing? To him?!
He sighed. Kirishima felt it.
"You're like really weird?! Wait fuck. Not in a bad way. As in, I've never met someone like you before? Wait, that sounded wrong too. Crap, give me a second."
Kirishima felt Bakugo's fingers tremble slightly. +
"I yell at you and shit and you still fucking make that weird ass face? And you can actually keep up with me in a fight and- that's not what I want to say. Fuck. Fuck."
Kirishima finally opened his eyes and he noticed how Bakugo's were now closed. +
He thought about what Midoriya told him earlier. He told him that Bakugo never had a friendship like this before, that he didn't know how to act or respond to things. But that Bakugo was a loyal person, that he'd stay with him no matter what. +
And he felt like a complete idiot, because while he was having a crisis about his confession, sobbing in the middle of the night on the grass at the back of the school, Bakugo was telling him to breathe. He was trying to apologize and reassure Kirishima. +
The boy that hated any form of physical contact was holding his face like he was precious. Kirishima really was an idiot. He thought he ruined everything, yet here they were.
"Your hair isn't that shitty, alright?" Kirishima quirked an eyebrow and stared at his best friend. +
He was in deep concentration and it almost looked like he was in pain, trying to figure out how to properly console him.
"You look like a red shark, and I guess that's not too bad and-"
Kirishima started to laugh, he couldn't help it. +
He was both physically and mentally drained but the sound still came out of him, filling the night sky.
Bakugo finally lifted up his head and stared down at him, eyes wide.
Kirishima laughed harder and harder, tears forming in his eyes finally for a different reason. +
"What the hell is so funny? Are you losing it?" Bakugo finally asked, his expression filled with utter confusion.
Kirishima laughed for a while more before he wiped his own eyes and smiled up at Bakugo.
"You really suck at this, man." +
Bakugo blinked two times in response.
"You bastard. Fuck you. I was trying to not be an asshole for once, dickhead."
"A red shark? Really?"
Bakugo flicked Kirishima's forehead.
"Yeah a red shark. Have you not seen your own damn teeth?! Shut the hell up!"
He was blushing. +
Kirishima chuckled.
"You were crying like a damn baby a minute ago and now you're talking shit again. Well welcome fucking back."
"I was not crying like a baby!"
Bakugo ignored him.
"You had my ass all worried and now you're cracking jokes. Fuck off." +
"You were worried about me?"
Bakugo's cheeks reddened even more.
"God, you really are an idiot."
"At least I know how to comfort someone."
"WELL FUCK YOU! LAST TIME I EVER-"
Kirishima sat up and switched their positions, Bakugo was now the one laying on the grass. +
Kirishima was right on top of him, their chests flushed together. He hid his face in the crook of his neck, his arms under his, hugging him.
"Thank you." He whispered.
Bakugo didn't say anything, he clutched the back of Kirishima's shirt with his right hand. +
His shampoo smelled like strawberries, he wanted to melt.
They didn't say anything for a few minutes. They just held each other and felt each other's warmth. When Bakugo wrapped his other arm around his waist, Kirishima sighed. +
When Kirishima caught himself beginning to doze off, he lifted himself up slightly, getting ready to stand up.
"We should head back-"
Bakugo held his face and Kirishima stared down at him.
"Wha-"
Bakugo's thumb slid against his lower lip his eyes following his own action. +
"I never got to kiss you back." +
When Kirishima battled with Bakugo the other night, he felt more excitement than he'd ever felt in his whole life. He felt invincible, like he truly was on top of the world. His bones ached and he tasted blood whenever he yelled, but that didn't matter because he felt so alive. +
He wasn't sure if he'd ever feel that great ever again, but of course Bakugo had to prove him wrong like he always had. Not even two days later and he was looking up at Kirishima, wanting to kiss him under the stars. +
His cheeks were red, his eyes were shining, and Kirishima was so in love with him.
His heartbeat was yelling.
He leaned back down, closer to Bakugo's face. His best friend was still staring at his lips. +
When Bakugo finally met his gaze, he closed his eyes and Kirishima kissed him.
Bakugo's lips were soft. He hadn't noticed that the last time.
They were soft and plump and Kirishima felt like his stomach was filled with butterflies. +
They didn't move their mouths the first time. They just felt. And Kirishima started to wonder how long Bakugo had wanted to do this.
When they pulled a part, they both opened their eyes. Bakugo pushed a few of Kirishima's hair strands behind his ear and smiled at him. +
"I love you." Kirishima said.
Bakugo kissed him again.
When they met, Bakugo lifted the both of them so they were sitting up. This time they both moved their mouths and Kirishima held his face as gently as Bakugo had. +
Bakugo kissed his lower lip, then his upper. Kirishima felt electrified.
"I love you." he said again.
Bakugo crawled onto his lap and Kirishima wrapped his arms around Bakugo's waist. Bakugo tangled his fingers in Kirishima's hair. +
Kirishima opened his mouth more and found out that Bakugo tasted like cinnamon. They continued to kiss, their teeth bumping every once in a while, the two inexperienced. But even then, the kisses were still amazing. +
And in-between almost each one, Kirishima would whisper.
"I love you."
Bakugo started to leave kisses from his jaw down to his neck.
"I love you."
Bakugo bit his bottom lip.
"I love you."
Bakugo rubbed their noses together.
"I love you." +
Neither of them were sure how long they were there for. Neither of them cared. They just felt and breathed each other until the two finally pulled a part. They were both breathing heavily and Bakugo's lips were red, his hair an absolute mess. +
"Bakugo, I-"
Bakugo gave him one last peck.
"I know."
He smiled at him softly.
"Me too." He said.
Kirishima's eyes widened.
"What?"
"You heard me."
"You love me?"
Bakugo looked at him, incredulous. +
"I just finished kissing your brains out and you're surprised?"
"Since when?"
"Huh?"
"How long have you felt the same?"
This time Bakugo looked shock, obviously by Kirishima's sudden urgent tone.
Bakugo was still on his lap. Kirishima tightened his hands around his waist. +
"A while. Months." Bakugo finally responded.
Kirishima's mouth fell open.
"MONTHS?!"
"Jesus, will you lower your voice?! You're gonna wake the whole damn school! Yes, months. I'm not repeating myself again."
Kirishima dropped his head on Bakugo's shoulder. +
"Oh my god. I'm so dumb."
"You're a dumbass."
"Months."
"Oh my fuck, shut up."
"I've loved you for months too."
Bakugo groaned.
They held each other in a deep embrace. +
"Why didn't you tell me?" Kirishima asked.
"I just told you."
"You know what I mean."
Bakugo held him tighter. He sunk his fingers into Kirishima's hair.
"The same reason why you didn't tell me."
"We're both stupid."
Bakugo grunted. +
"Bakugo."
"Hmm."
"Go out with me. Be my boyfriend."
Bakugo started to trail his fingers up and down Kirishima's back.
"Fine." +
Once they both yawned, they decided it was finally time to return to their rooms.
Bakugo held his hand the entire way there.
"Goodnight. I'll see you tomorrow." Kirishima said in front of Bakugo's door, a goofy smile on his face. +
Bakugo kissed him one last time for the night.
"G'night."
When Kirishima returned to his room, he sunk himself right into his bed and immediately sent Midoriya a text before falling asleep, a victorious smile on his face.
