because i know full well that there’s only a select few who engage in homophilic and disgusting behaviors.

i’m also not denouncing fanfiction or any other works (nu’est members have said that they’re okay with these works multiple times). i have my own interests in certain ship dynamics. you can ship what you want and read what you want, as long as the ship isn’t harmful.

luckily, jren as a ship isn’t harmful, but a some of you have decided to take things too far.

side note before we begin: jrenists, note that stan twitter did not appreciate your mpreg tweets and posts from the behind the scenes of the “꼭” stage. you should probably take those down, bc those are relative recent, and can easily resurface and make someone uncomfortable.

jren is a beautiful relationship dynamic. they have been best friends, and whatever they have between them is beautiful, whether that be friendship or something more.

for starters, i want to say that i am making this thread because i want EVERYBODY on love twitter to feel safe. i’m so so sorry that most of you have had to sit by and witness this happen for NINE YEARS STRAIGHT.

so what exactly is so wrong about jren_neverland’s nsfw tweets? well, what’s wrong about the way they tweet isn’t the fact that it’s nsfw. it’s that they take a REAL LIFE SCENARIO that could have been completely innocent and sexualize it.

it took me a hot minute to figure out what they meant in this tweet, but when i figured it out, i was obviously not pleased. nuest are playing a fun, innocent game and jren neverland is sexualizing it.

they’ve made several tweets and posts like this in the past. you’re bound to find screenshots of them in someone’s photo gallery.

true, the members are adults. however, applying their sexual fantasies to something that happened in real life is not only objectifying, but it also points to the fact that they genuinely believe jren are romantically involved???

which,,, they do believe jren are romantically involved. and they will block anyone who disagrees with them.

see, like i said, there’s nothing wrong with shipping, but healthy, normal shipping doesn’t inherently involve believing that a relationship must exist canonically. if i were a baekronist, for example, it wouldn’t mean that i think that aron and baekho are dating

in addition, it is FINE if you do things in all good fun. for example, i have made jokes about how i hate 2hyunists before. the 2hyunists know that it’s all in good fun and that i don’t actually hate them.

however, if you make someone feel genuinely uncomfortable because of their interest in a relationship dynamic, that’s inexcusable.

besides making such tweets, this account has harassed other twitter users in an attempt to force their,,, agenda on these other users. like i said, if it’s all in good fun, it’s COMPLETELY FINE. however, in the screenshot below, you will see what i am referring to.

what’s so wrong about what’s going on in this tweet is the fact that the user that they are quoting made a completely innocent tweet about relationship dynamics in nuest. jren neverland proceeded to berate them for not including jren.

the yellow user is not obligated to include every single relationship dynamic in their tweet. they were also not even referring to these dynamics as SHIPS. see, this behavior is questionable because they have to make EVERYTHING about this one ship that they’re so obsessed with.

from various accounts of MULTIPLE TWITTER USERS, i have seen the same recurring pattern: they all say that jren_neverland has harassed them for being interested in other ship dynamics, or for simply DISAGREEING with them.

going back to the mpreg posts, jren_neverland is also responsible for these posts. besides mpreg being generally frowned upon, there are two things wrong with this post.

1. it again sexualizes an entirely innocent moment between jonghyun and minki. like i said, fanfiction is not the same because it is purely fictional. however, jren_neverland is turning something that happened IN REAL LIFE into something that it’s not.

2. it forces heteronormative standards on a (fictional) homosexual relationship, which is inherently homophobic. we all know that cis men can’t get pregnant. using homosexual relationships to satisfy your heterosexual fantasies is disgusting.

jren_neverland also shipped jren when they were minors. remember, nu’est debuted at 16. they are currently 25 but that does not take away from the fact that what jren_neverland did was not okay.

they also tagged ig users glorypath and pockyjr in sexual posts and moodboards. you can take this any way you want, but this essentially borders on sexual harassment. why would you WANT your idols to see these things. below is an account from the maker of the moodboard

please help report tweets as you see fit. if you feel the need to, please report the account and tell others to do the same. please tag your oomfs who are following them and ask them to unfollow.

i know that a bunch of you have been waiting for this and for your voices to be heard. i’m never going to be scared to speak out against anyone who makes twitter an unsafe place for any group of people. i encourage all of you to block anyone who makes you uncomfortable.

this thread doesn’t imply that you are inherently immoral if you are interested in jren’s dynamic. however, love twitter has seen a disproportionate amount of jrenists engage in such behaviors.

if you see yourself in this thread, please rethink your actions and reevaluate whether or not you are being responsible with the platform you have.

in addition, this isn’t something you can just disagree over. “you shouldn’t sexualize 16 year olds” and “forcing heteronormative standards on homosexual relationships is homophobic and wrong” aren’t statements that can be debated.

please note that they have done much more than this. this is probably not even the worst of it, to be honest. i only collected what i have from screenshots.
