Being a #WomaninSTEM:
“You’re too pretty to be a scientist”
“You should really wear some makeup”
“You’re too young for this leadership role”
“You’re just old and bitter”
“You have kids? How do you have time for a career?”
“You don’t have kids? Why not?”
We can’t f***ing win.

I want to apologize if this post drew attention away from what should be the center of our attention right now, fighting anti-Black racism and working to achieve long overdue justice for Black individuals in our country.
I use twitter to be an advocate and also to share my real life experiences. Something happened on Thursday that set me off and inspired this series of posts. I was venting and did not expect it to get this level of attention.
I stand in solidarity with the Black community in saying that “all lives don’t matter until Black lives matter.” We cannot lose focus on the fight for racial justice.
