And did you know that CLOVIS CLAIMS TO HAVE SUCH A LOW CRIME RATE AND BE THE SAFEST CITY IN THE VALLEY?

BUT YET MORE THAN 50% OF THE CITIES BUDGET GOES TOWARDS FUNDING THE POLICE!

LIKE JUST HEAR ME OUT!! WOULDNT IT MAKE SENSE TO DEFUND THE POLICE AND PUT THAT MONEY TO ACTUAL USE BY HELPING THE COMMUNITY!?

Like stated previously, it’s ILLEGAL to be homeless in Clovis. If you are sleeping in public from 10pm - 7am you will be cited or put in jail. Jail might just be the better option if you are homeless in Clovis and that’s just the sad truth.

Wouldn’t it just be so cool if we defunded Clovis PD and put some of that money back into homelessness? Like come on!! The solution is there!! It just needs assistance!!

Ok so then tell me why there are no homeless shelters in Clovis? We are simply avoiding “the problem.” Funding needs to be cut from the police so that that money can go towards change.

Nobody is helping the homeless and if you can’t understand that making it ILLEGAL to be homeless in Clovis is not a solution! What are the homeless supposed to do when they are so outcasted by our privileged city?
