Bidvest Wits Director George Mogotsi who's been with the club for 36 years on @SAfmRadio today : "Since the rumours started, I didn't want to believe it. It was only on June 16th that the chairman addressed me, Gavin Hunt and Jonathan Schloss. I always thought it was speculation"
"I was devastated and hurt because I didn't expect this from a team with such history. This club helped me feed my family. They were all there in the rain when I got married. Prof Schloss gave me a big present. I haven't been able to sleep for the last 3 weeks"
"I can't sleep, it's tough, I have a boy who's at College, a house, I'm still owing the bank. My whole body has been in pain.. I've been taking pills regularly. But after June 16th, I accepted that it's happened and said to myself, George, let it be"
"I did everything for the club, from a cashier, gatekeeper, body searcher, security, supervisor, a teller. I drove players until 2004 when they said i must stop and I moved to the office, until now as a Director"
"For now I'm just numb. I'm in a cloud. But I wanna finish the season, there are 9 games left and Nedbank Cup semi-final. Maybe when the league wraps, my mind will come back again"
"But I need to live, I have a wife who needs me. I am a parent. Life must go on, so that when God remembers me again, I must be ready to serve. I don't want to pass away cos of stress. I'm putting my faith in my Redeemer, to take away this stress of Bidvest Wits"-George Mogotsi
