So I just saw a police officer with a K-9 walking close up pass apartments. While I have nothing to be worried about with what’s inside my apartment, this is concerning. Why is there an officer walking around our apartment complex?

The first question I asked was, is that legal? And to some extent the grounds is a common area. But it’s still private property. Furthermore, if I had a house then those borders would be more define. So because I don’t live in a house, you can ‘legally snoop’?

If the person that was walking didn’t have a uniform on and walked around apts like that. I’d either call them out, (or think seriously about calling 911). But it was a police officer. I’m now very anxious about what’s happening here. They gone now, but this is my lived reality
