People complain about nepotism in Bollywood all the time. What about nepotism in everything else? If your father or mother holds an influential position in a company, they will try to set you up in the company even if you’re not the most talented. Most of us don’t mind that.
If I work for a company or have my own business, why should I not try to help my kids first? Or my nephew, niece or any other relative? Why would I leave them to figure things out on their own while I give jobs to other people? I’ll give them the chance, if they fail, they fail.
Star kids get easy access to the industry and movies. No doubt. The ones who are not talented get plenty of chances but eventually they get kicked out. Only the good ones survive. An outsider has to struggle and sometimes one flop can get them kicked out. I understand that.
But you can’t blame someone for being born in a family and getting the benefits for it. And if you do, then raise your voice for every industry - not just Bollywood. The comments under the posts of people like Alia, Aryan, etc are so so so bad. Abusing them for what?
I’m not even a fan of Alia Bhatt but is it her fault that she was born in filmy family? Just because her connections set her up, you’ll abuse her and call her names? Next time you get a job because of your parents, you should be abused and cursed too then.
Don’t use someone’s death to take out your frustration and hate on other people. Hiding behind screens and trash talking is easy. But your extreme trash talks may push people into depression and then next day if they take a wrong step, you’ll come online and behave like a saint.
Anyway, if you are against nepotism in every field and industry, good for you. You’re awesome! As for me, I know for a fact that I’ll always prefer giving a chance to my people rather than someone I don’t know. Maybe I’m not as ethical as you and I’m okay with it.
