There are several faith events today to mark Juneteenth in #Chicago.
One is a church-led Repentance Walk that is repenting for racial discrimination, injustice and violence and praying for a future of peace, justice, and welcome for all. https://mailchi.mp/65dd1dce334a/repentance-walk-friday-june-19-530pm?e=e8a485eb7f

There also is what looks like will be a huge march and rally honoring Juneteenth at noon today in Grant Park organized by Pastor Chris Harris of Bright Star Church in Bronzeville. He's called it "the city of Chicago’s largest ‘lunch and learn.’" https://brightstarchurchchicago.com/juneteenth-faith-led-peaceful-demonstration-at-grant-park-june-19th/ #Chicago
Today's demonstration is a follow-up to a march in remembrance of George Floyd and other Black people who have died as a result of police brutality, systemic racism and injustice that Harris organized earlier this month in Bronzeville. https://religionnews.com/2020/06/03/the-church-will-not-be-silent-clergy-lead-thousands-in-peaceful-protest-on-chicagos-south-side/ #Chicago
