I hope this thread finds you well. As an #ECR I dread opening my email once I receive notification about the outcome of my manuscript. I have this ritual, I cry in anticipation of bad news, then cry some more when I find out about the outcome/1

I know I am not a fan of open reviews, but, just yesterday, my colleague @billfishExpert (sorry) and I were talking about approaching the journals to ask for the names of the reviewers so we could send them a thank you note. Thank you for your selflessness!/3

These few lines are my way of letting you and the amazing editors of the nameless journals that this #ECR is in awe of the amazing work that you do. My paper might have been rejected (by one of the journals), but, the feedback motivates me (us) to improve/fin
