Comics journalism failed @AvivaMaiArtzy and many other women who were not able to rely on comics journalism to corroborate and report their stories. In my opinion this is on the scene as a whole, on comics journalism as a culture. I’m displeased and responsible

What a pathetic arena, that leaves people alone

I’ll say it in public: if you’re a comics journalist, you need to make your site and your work & your personal on and offline presence obviously, productively supportive of the personhood of women and other minoritised demographics or you are obscuring the news & hiding the truth

places to start: Train and assign men to moderate comments sections appropriately. Train men to look at a victim statement as evidence that needs to be added to for the sake of the person making it. Stop capitalising on disingenuous objectification
