2.There were no further details on how early years or 16-19 would be supported, no comprehensive national education plan, no details on how Local Authorities could support summer provision. No outline of how Gov will scale up a tutoring offer for every pupil,
http://3.No"> http://3.No  detail how it will lower pupil teacher ratios and source additional school space in public buildings to ensure safe social distancing, no confirmation that Gov will work with Ofqual and school leaders to streamline GCSE and A levels,
http://4.No"> http://4.No  plans for blended at home and school learning, as well as details on future assessment methods in the event of a second spike or rise in the R rate. No confirmation of provision of free laptops for all children who do not have them to access learning
5. And no fully resourced national plan for children’s wellbeing to support children who need emotional support as a result of the pandemic.

This shambolic policy making by press release has to stop.
6. The Government must urgently convene a taskforce across the sector to develop detailed plans in collaboration with trade unions, education/childcare leaders and staff, local authorities, parent’s orgs and experts.
