PSA for Protesters. 🚨

I’m so glad you’re protesting! It’s amazingly inspiring and you’re out there representing me too because I’m high-risk and can’t protest.

But I worry about you and your families.

Here are some tips to protest as safely as you can!

#BlackLivesMatter 1/x
🔹Wear a cap and tie your hair back if long. Too many surfaces for #Covid to cling to.
🔹Wear the best mask you can find along with goggles or glasses. If possible, wear a face shield too. Keep those virus particles off your facial skin.
🔹Keep your physical distance if possible!
🔹I know it’s hot, but cover as much of your skin as you can. Wear a rash guard or long sleeved t-shirt and tights that you can douse with water to stay cool.
🔹That leads me to... bring water, lots if it’s hot.
🔹I don’t recommend lying on the ground. Virus particles fall there.
🔹As soon as you get home, put your mask, googles and cap in a plastic bag and seal. Clean with soap 🧼 and water 💦 in a few days.
🔹Take off your clothes and chuck them in the washing machine or sealed laundry bag.
🔹Go directly to the shower and use lots of soap and water.
🔹Bring hand sanitizer and use frequently!

Finally, here are some tips from Amnestry International for protesting in general including dealing with tear gas. 😷
Lastly, if it comes to that, these are tips protesters in Hong Kong shared.
