So now for why I support #flexibleworking - I’ve been fortunate during my 7.5 years @KingsCollegeLon to have had managers completely supportive of #flexibleworking who have trust in their team who value outputs not presenteeism. @KCLdiversity #flextheUK 1/
This has helped me firstly as a mother of young children to be there for those moments I’ve not wanted to miss (Mother’s Day afternoon tea at nursery or school sports days etc). Second it’s also allowed me to work on things not directly related to my work #flextheUK 2/
So my book Bejewelled (shameless plug here!) would never have been finished had it not been for the understanding of @evelynwelch2013 who gave me the space to do this but she knew I’d still get the day job done. The benefits for my employer are that I am loyal #flextheUK 3/
I value that I can work how I choose in a way that enables me to give my best to the organisation. BUT I know that my experience is not the same for our whole community and I want to ensure all our staff have the same. That’s why I work so hard for #flexibleworking #flextheUK 4/4
