ASTRO BEING ON KINGDOM // a thread

i understand y yall want astro to be on kingdom (popularity, media coverage, etc, exposure) but yall also have to understand that this is MNET WE ARE DEALING WITH. Mnet is a PRO when it comes to media and score manipulation.

and yes there is that stigma that astro is "eunwoo's group" but have u noticed that in almost every single one of their cbs on Mnet countdown eunwoo usually gets the thumbnails and more camera screentime? yall think mnet wont pull the same shit on kingdom? bcs they goddamn will.

they've done it on MAMA, they've done it QUEENDOM *srsly the amount of times they panned over to the other groups reacting to the performances and the audience annoyed me liek lemme watch the goddamn perfORMANCE*

and yes it is true that they are able to show off more of their personal talents on there BUT! dont forget that what they're asked to do is what they did b4 their debut. ASTRO even said that that was the hardest time in their lives. re-living that again can affect them mentally.

im reiterating again that I COMPLETELY understand why arohas think this is a good thing for astro & while i do think that shows i.e. kingdom give groups the right amount of exposure that they need, i cannot bring myself to like the idea of astro going on a show managed by Mnet.

to add on top of that the topic of fanwars is unavoidable here. on queendom, groups did cover performances of other ppls songs. interactions btwn groups are cute but if a group doesnt do that song justice yall know what happens. i cant guarantee this wont happen but it can.

that one dude who covered sunmi's song on Mnet's produce 101 is a perfect example. ik it aint queendom/kingdom but im giving an example as to what Mnet can do and if they can publicly broadcast this dude's efforts and put him to shame they can do it on kingdom too.

ofc we dont get to decide if astro goes on there (its up to the mnet and fanmu and astro) but i'd like it if everyone kept these things in mind rather than just focusing on the bright side only.

if astro does go on there tho and they get treated like shit best believe im coming 4 Mnet's ass-

i love my boys and i just want the best for them mentally physically and emotionally

if kingdom wasnt managed by such this thread wouldnt exist :)
