Anyone who really knows me, know how much I love the Middle East. I’ve been following the Yemen and Syria crisis since 2011 and try to help where I can. For anyone who wants to help too, here’s a couple small things I’ve been doing on my part. Small gestures go a long way

Every month I donate to Syria’s White Helmet organization. These are local Syrians who volunteer their time, money and effort to help Syrians who have been affected by the war. More info is in their website https://www.whitehelmets.org/en/
If you can’t donate, you can watch a documentary about the White Helmets in Syria on Netfix. The documentary is called “The White Helmets”

You can also volunteer time, food, money, clothes etc to your local state’s refugee community. Here’s Utah’s refugee programs https://serverefugees.org
You can expand your social group & take time to meet someone who is from the Middle East/has connections to there. From there, you can commit to help them send essential items to their friends/family back home. if money is tight, you can sit & educate yourself by listening to them
You can donate as little as $6/month to UNICEF (United Nation Children’s Fund)They provide clean water, safe food, education, sanitation and so much more to 190+ countries, incuding Yemen!
