Ted Talk 4 #flatbushfireworks

The individual components that created this perfect economic condition or storm, if you will, aren't so clear.

Tonight's component is the fireworks marketplace.

Notice exclamations added on right pic - 3 for 1 deal - (3) $120 fireworks for $120.
1. Cancellations due to lockdown

Many memorial day shows were cancelled and the 4th of July cancellations are rolling in as I type this.
2. Supply and demand.

With 2 of 3 major smmr holidays abt to be in the rearview mirror and mch of the country still practicing social distancng and avding crwds, the demand for shows are down and the spply is overflowing.

Naturally, the price drops. And enticements are offerd.
BOGO everything, 3 for the price of one specials. Plus a mask.

Phantom is the biggest retailer in Connecticut, with a large presence nationwide. On the east coast your pretty much a click away from a 3 for 1 "expensive" firework deal
So, there will be no Christmas for the fireworks makers this year.

fireworks that look expensive are cheap this year.

The makers are overstocked and retailers are positioned to move it quickly online and in store with prices people haven't seen since the 90s.
