I have to speak about this publicly because my spirit won’t let me sleep tonight if I don’t.

I will keep the victims names’ privately.

But I will speak the so called leader by name.
For almost a week now, there has been a group of protestors demonstrating outside of the Capitol to advocate for the removal of Nathan Bedford’s bust.

They have been there day and night, camping out to get their point across.
Last night, a homeless man sexually assaulted two women who were protesting. Two different incidents. Same man.

Nashville’s favorite activist, Justin Jones among with other witnesses saw it.

When the discussion came up to report what happened, he said...
that the women should not report it because it would change the narrative of why they’re actually protesting. That the incident would overpower the advocacy.
1. You watched someone be groped and you did not intervene

2. You dismissed a sexual grievance for the sake of keeping things focused on the mOveMent and not the violence that took place.
I don’t trust the police. I don’t like the police. Never have. Never will.

But something should have been done to protect those women and handle the matter afterwards.
