I've had this scene in my head for a while, for a couple of reasons

like Jeff's heartbreaking face journey and ultimate denial once he realizes how much that truth would hurt to acknowledge. or how his FRIENDS drop that on him with such levity, joking about it, because they don't get jeff so they keep inadvertently hurting him like this

we are gonna have a whole discussion about this sideplot or so help me god

the way jeff forces smiles at the beginning even tho he feels excluded, or when abed implies Jeff's not good at "moments of human vulnerability" and he gets rightfully defensive and annie jumps to his defense but didn't bother w/ jeff, couldn't even lie to comfort him a lil

or when jeff plays it off as dumb and stupid as he goes away but then keeps repeating the band name so he wont forget

shaking and crying at this like HE WAS TRYING

when elroy is like "are you trying to get me to like you?" and jeff goes full defensive with "pfsh NO" and he replies with "good because it's not working" I am SO hurt. I'm in pain

and then when the band shows up and he makes this face please I'm insane

can we please talk about this scene please I've been DYING to talk about this scene. when I say jeff winger is baby THIS IS WHAT I MEAN CAN WE TALK ABOUT IT

I'M TIRED OF PLAYING THIS GAME I LIKE YOU AND I WANT YOU TO LIKE ME

WHEN HE'S HUGGED AND HE WINCES AND HIS VOICE LITERALLY BREAKS

HES GONNA CRY MAN HES PLAYING IT OFF AS NO BIG DEAL BECAUSE IT MEANS SO MUCH TO HIM. HE ONLY DEFLECTS STRONG FEELINGS. HE'S TOUCHED HE'S GONNA CRY

when elroy goes "you're a good guy jeff winger. you and i are gonna be friends" and jeff HAS to play it off or hes gonna get emotional so hes like "okaygreatwhatever"

WHEN ELROY TELLS JEFF HE LOVES HIMMMMM THAT'S ME ASF IM SO HAPPY SOMEONE SAID IT. HE DESERVES TO HEAR IT. PLEASE SOMEONE VOCALLY LOVE JEFF WINGER OR HE'S GONNA FORGET IT HE HAS NO EMOTIONAL OBJECT PERMANENCE

the way in which at no point in the entire episode do his friends try to check if he's doing ok or even attempt to comfort him at all

im having so many sad feelings about his friends not really caring about him it's tearing me apart
