Installing a bunch of demos from the Steam Games Festival. Looking forward to diving into all of them this weekend.
I think what I& #39;ll do is that, once I get around to it, I& #39;ll share my progress going through these demos and some quick thoughts as well.
The style reminds me a bit of Stardew Valley. Lovely sprite animation, even on the hair.
Arietta of Spirits has this undeniable charm to it.The only thing I wish it had was some sort of lock-on during combat. Otherwise, I can tell this will be a bit of an emotional ride. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1140170/Arietta_of_Spirits/">https://store.steampowered.com/app/11401...
Now we& #39;re on to Black Book
Was not expecting the combat to be a turn-based RPG using incantations. After you use one of the words (in this case, Urazi), a new one appears. Interesting concept.
Mind, you can go through the book of words and find specific ones if you& #39;d like, while also casting multiple "words" / actions.
The game also mixes in traditional adventure elements and chance encounters. And committing sins, which affects whatever ending you& #39;ll get. There& #39;s also moments where you can help villagers and earn exp/items based on your actions.
That experience

Black Book is a rather fascinating approach to the adventure RPG. Another recommendation to download the demo and try it for yourself!
Wow, Children of Silentown may be one of the more fascinating games I& #39;ve checked out in a while! It& #39;s like if Tim Burton and Henry Selick made an adventure game. You need to play the demo! https://store.steampowered.com/app/1108000/Children_of_Silentown/">https://store.steampowered.com/app/11080...
This is also the first time an adventure game actively encouraged me to Google something from the game log to help me find clues. Different.
An endurance meter, eh? Don& #39;t see too many adventure games with that. Gotta sleep and eat food to have more time to do stuff.
