President Trump & Gov Stitt aren't just risking the lives of millions of vulnerable Oklahomans for his Tulsa rally.

They're hosting the rally 10 DAYS before the statewide vote on whether OK should expand Medicaid.

The rally will make many feel unsafe voting. That's no accident. https://twitter.com/TulsaTeresa/status/1273694033311866880
1/ Stitt has spent the last several months doing everything he could to suppress the vote.

Last month, after the Oklahoma Supreme Court overturned the GOP-supported requirement for absentee ballots to be notarized, Stitt immediately signed a new law with the same notary rule.
2/ The only difference between the notary requirement ruled unconstitutional and Stitt's new bill was the addition of an option for voters to instead include a photocopy of their ID.

Most low-income Oklahomans don't own printers & now STILL have to risk public exposure to vote.
3/ This, again, is by design. There is no purpose for requiring voters to include a photocopy of their id.

As the @ACLUOK said, the new law signed by Stitt forces Oklahomans “to choose between the recommendations of public health experts and exercising their right to vote.”
4/ This pointless law, designed to suppress the vote, would be bad enough for voters to contend with as they head to the polls on June 30.

Saturday's Trump rally in Tulsa adds an entire additional layer of danger & difficulty to voting for Oklahomans, however.
5/ Oklahoma just shattered its own record for number of new COVID-19 cases twice in a row, & the state is already facing a looming spike in cases, before the rally even happens.

Contrary to claims by Trump and Stitt, cases are UP while testing is DOWN. https://twitter.com/KOCOEvan/status/1273730522477465602
6/ Ppl infected with COVID-19 start showing symptoms an avg of 5-6 days after exposure, w/ some taking up to 14 days.

Oklahomans will head to the polls to vote on possible Medicaid expansion 10 DAYS after Trump's rally.

There could be tens of thousands of cases in OK by then.
7/ Let's be clear: President Trump & Gov Stitt are leveraging a public health crisis—which disproportionately impacts low-income & vulnerable communities—to suppress the vote in an attempt deny those VERY SAME COMMUNITIES healthcare.

This is what actual evil looks like.
I hope that journalists will cover this as what it is—blatant voter suppression. Because as an immunocompromised Oklahoman, I'm furious.
