I just want to thank @SmOoChEs_Mwah for her discussion a few months back on Gator Bait. I’ve known about this term but truthfully, not in its entirety. Thanks to our conversation, I was exposed to far more references.
I’ve stayed clear of the term for years as a black Gator fan and alumni but this conversation was definitely eye opening.
At the end of the day it proves that there is so much about black history we are ignorant of and so many ways white supremacy lingers. None of us are above learning more about anti-racism, even us as black people.
