450 new cases of COVID in OK today, but it seems many of our state's leaders are unconcerned about yet another record increase. In fact @GovStitt said yesterday that we were "flattening the curve" and he hadn't decided whether he would wear a mask. 1/

I don't see how we can classify record numbers of new cases each day as "flattening the curve." I'm wearing a mask in public. I hope you are too, because our state's response has been to ignore these increases. Oh, and we're hosting a potential super-spreading event on Sat. 2/

It feels to me that many Republican leaders are willing to use Oklahomans as guinea pigs because they want the President here. Notice that there are no events of this magnitude taking place anywhere else IN THE WORLD. And there aren't any scheduled for after Saturday's rally. 3/

I hope you'll join me in demanding better from @GovStitt and other folks in positions of power in Oklahoma. So far we've basically heard nothing from them except "everything is fine." That's unacceptable to me, especially when lives are on the line. 4/4
