I have met some incredible people over the last few months being fortunate enough to be able to support our elderly with care packages from fundraising a multitude of ways and some incredible kindness from Twitter folk and further afield. Today I met Phyllis who has not (1/4)
Been out of her home for the last year and a half since she became too fragile to move properly. She peered from a hallway and as I handed the package to her carer, she burst into tears. She could not talk in response and had a face of sheer shock (2/4)
Phyllis was another who never thought she would have outside human contact again past her carer and thought she had been forgotten about and left alone. She never wanted to bother anyone and it broke my heart. Was one of the most powerful and moving things I have seen in my (3/4)
Life and wanted to share the story with you all. Kindness needs to be spread. Communities need to come together to protect our most vulnerable and isolated. Check on your neighbours. Be kind and make someone smile. (4/4)

This was quite hard to write so hope it came across in the way I wanted it to. Don't know if it will be even read but with all in the world right now, the power of kindness should be top of everyone's agendas. Real kindness. Real talk. I hope it makes just one person check in.

This arrived this AM by her carer. He said that she was desperate to sya thanks and took her over an hour to write as her hands are arthritic. 😭😭💙💙
