Haven’t spoken on X yet today but here goes. Without question he was a shit person. I have zero respect or tolerance for any domestic abuser at all, you’re an actual bitch if put your hands on a woman. Do I believe people can change? Sure.
Towards the end it seemed like he was doing genuine good in his community w the celebrity status he had. And that’s good, I applaud him for that. But does he deserve respect? Fuck no. The reports of what he put that girl through is horrifying.
He deserved to spend time in prison for what he did to her if it was true, and it was. He admitted it himself, you can find the audio out there. Now in terms of the music? It was pretty damn good. Not all of it, but a lot of it.
He was really smart in terms of knowing how to make music to get a lot of streams, and it was cool to see someone trying literally any style they wanted, even if it did affect the quality of his albums.
I definitely think he had room to grow as an artist, there’s no doubt about that. One other note I could go off on is that he was absolutely dealt a horrible card when it came to family. His mother is a piece of shit, exploiting his death the way she has.
Bad Vibes Forever and Skins should’ve never been put out. They’re both ridiculously unfinished, and every single move she made in terms of managing his posthumous music was in poor taste.
Showing off the car your son got shot in is fucking disgusting. And to promote an album at that? It’s just gross. I know I’m rambling but these are my thoughts on all of it.
