Here... we... go:)

Before the main menu, tge game offers a variety of adjustments for people with hearing, vision and motor disabilities. Very nice:)
The controls scheme, if anyone is curious about it:)
You can adjust the aiming reticle and turn on/off enemy awareness indicators.
Possible to turn on an indicator that shows that a certain collectible was already picked up in the previous playthrough:) Quite a nice addition for completionists:)
The "EXTRAS" section includes concept arts, model viewer (nice!) and... credits:D
Five difficulties: very light, light, moderate, hard, survivor.
For my first playthrough I'll go for moderate:)
But I remember the reviews showing adjusting difficulties for separate components, like supply scarcity, enemy agressiveness etc.. Don't see it rn:)
Okay, found it. It's only in the options already in game, not in the main menu.
This is what I meant. Sorry if pause doesn't help much:)
This is probably the best water animation I've seen in a game:D
Up there with RDR2:)
Okay, playing the guitar in this game is... not a cutscene:)
It's kinda cute, but awkward:) Also something beautiful happens while you play the guitar that was foreshadowed in TLOU1;)

Also, I'm already impressed with the face animations. Like, how is it a videogame?..
Ellie's room is filled to the brim with references to the first game, that's all I will say... :)
Since not much is really happening at the beginning, they rely quite a lot on visual storytelling. So far... they're doing a pretty nice job of show-don't-tell. Except that I saw the same guy model twice within 100 meters in the same pose:D
Okay, you can officially pet the dog:D
@CanYouPetTheDog
There's a guy reading a book in a certain city location. And I can actually make out words on those pages. That's about the detail level point:)
The tutorials for different mechanics are natural, if it makes sense. For example, the game teaches you to pick up and throw things in... quite a cute way:)
Also, the party scene that we saw in the E3 2018 trailer isn't in the game. The events are happening afterwards, the very next morning.
The snow looks beautiful as hell, but the way it is "ruined" by our actions (especially going prone) looks clunky or chunky. Oh well:)
Okay, Ellie is not the only playable character. If we count a few minutes with Joel at the start, there are already three playable people:)
All right, had to use the dodge for the first time. It's okay, the attacks that you can dodge are telegraphed to you. Need to practice, I didn't do well:)
Characters actually physically pick up items and put them in their bags when you press triangle. It's not that "in the air" dab that Joel performed in the first one:)
The scenery in the game is just beautiful. Here's an example:)
Share function is disabled so far for this game, so I have to do it the old-fashioned way:)
I like how Ellie looks angry/frustrated every time you crouch, no matter what's going on around:D
Perks upgrades (with pills) are made in branches this time around, and manuals open new branches. In the first game manuals gave you permanent buffs.
Sometimes these facial animations transition too unnaturally from speaking to resting face and vice versa, so... yeah. They're great until they aren't:)
Blood on the snow looks insane😳
Okay, I drew a penis in the snow with my feet. 10/10.
Unlocking safes now requires finding a note somewhere close and/or solving some environmental puzzle, the solutions can be in the pics on the walls etc.. So far I dig it a lot:) If it keeps doing it in this interesting way - priceless.
Maybe it's moderate difficulty, but I get pills like crazy, I already have a decent chunk of what I had in the entire first game and Bill Cosby combined, lmao.
I can only assume that there are a lot more perks to unlock.
Ellie now makes entries and doodles in her journal as she progresses through the story.
Already found two original PS3 and a disk of Uncharted 2:D
WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED
Something just happened. I'm just lost and pissed off rn.
I am taking a break to have some sleep, will continue tomorrow. Need some time to digest what just happened anyway.

They better justify later on what just occured on some pristine writing levels.
