Mercury is has officially started Retrograding

But wtf does that mean? A thread

So first of all Id like to start with the fact that THE WORLD IS NOT GOING TO END BECAUSE MERCURY IS RETROGRADING. Mercury retrogrades 3X a year, this is their thing (yes, Mercury is the only planet that isnt gendered).

So what exactly happens when Mercury goes retrograde?

Mercury controls our thinking, communication, technology, short term commutes, and MEDICINE so anything relating to this is going to be operating in ways much differently than what we’re used to!

Because of this we usually see thoughts and ideas not being communicated clearly, technology starting to glitch, short commutes suddenly taking hours, freak injuries/medical procedures not going to plan, etc.

So who gets affected my Retrogrades the MOST?

The answer is Virgo/Gemini (Mercury’s Rulers) and is also dependent on the modality of the sign Mercury is in. This retrograde is in Cancer which is a Cardinal sign (Cap, Libra, Aries, Cancer), so they will be affected the most!

With that in mind if you have ANY placements in Cancer, Capricorn, Libra, or Aries, you will feel the effects of this retrograde in some way shape or form particularly if your placements are within 6-15 degrees in any of these signs as this is where Mercury will rx in our charts

In MY personal opinion, I feel Libra/Aries Placements will take the hit harder than Cancer/Cap because they always make squares to Cancer which represent conflicts/struggles at balancing energy. Cap will be the next because Oppositions are also about finding balance!

Cancer placements, this retrograde is a coin toss! Conjunctions are extremely powerful moments and if you play your cards correctly, this can actually be a very positive time for you! It also however can be very negative depending on what choices you make!

Regardless of whether you have any of these placements or not, look to where 6-15 degrees Cancer is in your chart and look up the house thats in or overlaps these degrees to see how this Rx will affect you specifically! The themes of this house will be present during rx season.

Heres my lil Mercury Rx Cheat Sheet of things to do during the RX to make sure things go as smoothly as possible!

1. Dont get medical procedures done until the RX is over, things may not go to plan.
2. Double/Triple Save everything, back your files up.
3. Avoid making any large transactions
4. Plan your trips out THROUGHLY and give yourself an EXTRA TIME cushion in case something comes up

5. Try not to be discouraged when your ideas dont come across the way youd like them to
6. DO NOT FUCKING LURK (Mercury controls information)
7. Be patient w/ yourself and how you learn + understand things! It might take a little longer to understand something

8. Expect an argument or two (this RX is in cancer so definitely expect one relating to how you experience comfort, nuturing, or one simply in your immediate environment.
9. SPELLCHECK PLEASE (thank me later)
10. DO NOT RUN BACK TO YOUR EXES/START A RELATIONSHIP

Not to say that relationships wont go well, but be CAUTIOUS that after the Rx, when things return to normal, you may realize you see your partners in a different light.
