I worked at publix for literally a few days due to the pandemic or whatever and I wanna say it was the worst job ive ever attempted to do.
One day a white woman came in and took a cart and looked at me and said “Listen, you’re black and im white and i’m okay with you” as if black people are just begging for white acceptance during this whole revolution. Whole time we just want equally and our personal space
I had them body shame me and tell me that my slacks weren’t work appropriate because they were too “hip hugging” and dont even look like work pants. These are the pants
These are the pants of other coworkers. All of the women i was being compared to where older white women that are now sagging in a lot of areas and younger girls that are fresh out of high school. I am a 24 year old, fully developed black woman
They also banned designer face masks because one of the managers wore a mask that said “BLM” and the black store manager thats married to a white woman with biracial children said wearing BLM apparel will offend the customers (i wonder which customers he was talking about)
They also forbid me to wear my nose rings meanwhile two other white girls had several nose rings and constantly wore their designer masks. This was told me the day I was hired. This picture was taken two days ago
Her nose ring was on the other side but i had to be secretive to take a picture lol. But yeah. That company is shit. Their food is beyond overpriced and them addressing my body shape was completely inappropriate and problematic. That is all
