Hey everyone! Sorry for not being present/posting as much as of late. If you don’t know, Mercury is now retrograding which it will be until the 12th of July. I want to make this thread to specifically tell you to not freak out and to view this rx with a different framework.
As we know, retrogrades have the potential to be messy. We don’t want to plan our big moments around retrogrades, and not usually a Mercury retrograde because Mercury is attached to the movements and progressions through our day.
It’s how things get from point A to point B. It’s how we talk and equally how we listen. It’s reciprocation more than ever.

Yes, Mercury can cause hiccups in your day, they can break down your electronics, they can ensue in a sibling dispute right off the bat.
However, Mercury retrogrades are invitations to go deeper. Mercury retrogrades says that these problems must be remedied through talking it out and in Cancer, the details are going to be delicately teased out—could give anyone a headache.
However, it’s an introspective moment. We can look at the ways we’ve been too overprotective, whether if it was learned from childhood, or means of survival. It will surely be a mix of both for everyone. Now, Cancer is cardinal and how I always view cardinal is forthrightness
and builder. We have to build our spaces, and we have more opportunity to figure out how we want that to look like. Mercury rx in Cancer can also be a disruptor of space, which I’ll get into that in a minute.
Granted, this Mercury rx can have a lot to do with family and our origins. It has a lot do with how we moved over the course of centuries—ancestors included. It asks us to reflect on these subjects which for some, can be a difficult task.
It asks us to confront where you come from and make the decision whether or not you want to be different from it. For others, its finding strength, resilience, and inspiration from the people who have come before you.
Now, Mercury is a very radical tool for us all. This is a good time to set aside time to read and be informed of radical text and theory—and really engage with what you are reading.
Don’t just go for the obvious, look for what’s in-between, what maybe is not being said. This is a really good time to start a book club if you’re all for it.
Another interesting note: Mercury rx is going to be quite imperative on thwarting the things and realities that we already know. Mercury can never be more than 28 degrees of the Sun, and depending what astrology you work with, Sun is representative of identity, soul, and mind.
However, Sun is also representative of what is normal and dominating. It’s the center of what is culturally normal and accepted. It’s what our society views as comfortable and must always be reflective in our reality.
Mercury are the narratives and the distribution of these informations as fact. This Mercury rx gives us an opportunity to rip and tear what is normal or what has always been commonplace as fact and accepted.
This opens up questions to what is real, and what isn’t. It asks us to excavate these dominant narratives and make them into a lie because they are not real—just merely a form of control. Startling secrets or discoveries will string along this Mercury rx path.
