If you played Mario Kart as a child you should know and understand what equity is.

When you’re in 1st place you get all the sucky prizes right? Cause you don’t need any speed boosters because you’re already in the front

Now if you were in last place your prizes were probably the best because they’d help you so you can get in the front

That’s why it isn’t about equality, because equal treatment doesn’t mean shit because of the system we’re in, it’s about EQUITY

So if you’re saying someone else is privileged for paying less for something or getting benefits — recognize where you’re at, why you’re not getting those benefits, and then go play some Mario Kart to understand why such things exist to create a more equitable system
