I don't like it when people think that because you're in the same business/industry some kind of way, you have some kind of ulterior motive when you show them love. That's not even a question when a "fan" who's not in the business/industry shows you love.
Business is business, and love is love too. All I ask is, if I show you love, understand its JUST that. LOVE‼ I'm not looking for nothing in return. My love don't cost a thing. Always been like that, still like that, and if I can I'll always be like that. But, this just me tho.
I show love to people I do business with and people I don't (I like what I like). Some of the people I do business with actually like doing business with me because, others have no clue we work behind the scenes. That confidentiality itself keeps them coming back, consistently.
There are others who don't care about the confidentiality, but they know that whatever service they've requested for from me will be delivered, and sometimes above and beyond their expectations. In the process is where we respect each other and show our love for what we're doing.
I've bought tickets for people for shows I haven't attended, I've bought clothing from people I haven't worn publicly, I've pushed music I don't work with, I've even done plenty of work for free (for my own experiences), with no regret and plenty of good intention.
I completely understand that this isn't the way that everyone views things. And, I'm not oblivious to the fact that people are taking advantage of other people when then "show love". But, this is why intention and purpose matters.
Anyway, that was on my chest 🥴, so I wanted to share ME with yall. Good business goes a long way, it never harmed me to bless anyone else if I can whether it be for the love or business. If you read this thread, find your niche, be yourself, do it well, keep going, and be great.
