From my understanding, now that Oxford have caved on this they HAVE to return the money to his family and can’t use it any longer for scholarships. I just want to add to those that are pro taking down this mans statue that he made this condition;

He established the Rhodes Scholarships, however, on the basis that ‘no student shall be qualified or disqualified for election … on account of race or religious opinions’

So if you want to target him for what he did, then you should actually look at how he ended his life! He did more good then simply being involved in the Empire, and you’d think students at a prestige university like Oxford should understand that.

The building should be returned!
