Today someone basically said to me ‘oh sorry I wouldn’t have spoken to you like that if I knew you were so senior’ and that is the impact of our infatuation with NHS pay grades. People so bold to say out loud that treating people badly is ok depending on grade....

And actually, thinking about it more the subtext was ‘so I will listen to your feedback now I know your seniority too’. Like we don’t get to contribute upwards.

And it’s so easy to be lured into it as I keep reading my tweet and wanting to let you all know what the hierarchy between us is but it doesn’t matter. Just know everyone’s thoughts and ideas are equal and matter.
