[Thread] I want to show y’all why people are somewhat accepting Singto’s apology and not Krist or Newwie’s. Below will be a each persons apology translation for comparison.

“I can’t be ableist because I donate.”
He never actually apologized despite using the words “I’m sorry.” Him trying to provide reasons negates the “apology”.

Singto cont. He clarified he had no intention, which could be viewed as an excuse, but his acknowledgment that it still hurt people and that means he’s wrong is key. Also, he explains why it’s wrong and shouldn’t be normalized. He’s holding himself fully accountable.
Sorry means nothing if it’s paired with an excuse or flawed reasoning and that is what Krist and New did.
They both tried to defend themselves. Krist to a lesser extent but the majority of his “apology” was excuses and defenses. New’s wasn’t an apology AT ALL.

With that said this does not mean anyone has to immediately accept any of their apologies or ever forgive them. I, myself, am not so much accepting Singto’s apology as I am acknowledging his willingness to take accountability and improve.
I will not be taking the others into consideration at all. Anyone who has a problem with those that want these GROWN MEN to do better needs to reasses the situation and understand why. “I’m sorry” is just not sufficient.
