Sometimes, non-artist people don& #39;t understand that art is not only studying, practicing and learning, but it also has a HUGE emotional baggage on the artist& #39;s mind and lifestyle. Being an artist often implies having our mood depending on our works and vice versa.
I often get stuck in life and fall in a depressive state purely because I can& #39;t draw properly, which is often a consequence of my being stressed or burnt out by everything else. It really IS difficult, and not always fun. You& #39;d understand only by doing it, after all.
If you feel like artists are "too touchy" when you leave them a nasty comment or an unasked critique, try to think for a moment about how you& #39;d feel about your 5+ hours of work being judged by some random dude on the internet that only looked at it for ten seconds. Try it.
This doesn& #39;t mean that our work doesn& #39;t have to receive critiques, of course. But we often just...pay teachers for doing that? Or simply ask for a feedback directly? I don& #39;t think your "haha the eyes look strange" unasked comment would help us improving, how to say.
Now I gotta head back to work. I& #39;m seriously feeling really burnt out, once I get out of it I& #39;ll make sure to share tips on how I did it (so I maybe will keep it in mind for when it& #39;ll happen again) https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🌻" title="Sonnenblume" aria-label="Emoji: Sonnenblume">
Anyway, I& #39;d highly recommend looking at @sinix777 videos! I& #39;m doing that right now and other than the soothing voice, I love how they can share useful tips and just make drawing look so easy and fun. Try it out!! https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="💖" title="Funkelndes Herz" aria-label="Emoji: Funkelndes Herz"> (YouTube channel name is Sinix Design)
