Barbados sports structure is in absolute shambles! I could sit and rant about how poorly of sports industry has been managed and handled across ALL sports. We have QUALITY athletes with no support or spotlight or proper opportunities for Development

People are so comfortable with mediocre and I cannot fathom it.

Track athletes, the few that go to college in the US, we have sent hundreds overseas over the years and we still cant produce on the International level....why no proper developmental structures. There is NO support for them after that level

Again TRACK, FOOTBALL, CRICKET etc are NOT the only sports we have in Barbados. We never promotion, support and highlight given to other sports like squash, table tennis, Olympic lifting, rugby, hockey....we have athletes with great potential in these disciplines with no support

The sports industry in Barbados needs a COMPLETE overhaul. I've seen up close and personal the ridiculous politics and backhandedness that is stunting our growth sporting sector. We could've had way better results over the years if not for the archaic system we have now

I could drop name after name of incredible athletes who fade into distant memories not just in track but across all sporting disciplines that had so much potential to be great and perform well in the International level but they lacked Developmental opportunities and support.

Sports is one of the biggest money generators in the world and if proper investment was given to ours we could have another booster of the economy outside or tourism. Cricket alone can only do so much.

I could go on and on about the problem but ranting doesn't solve the issues here. I plan to be apart of the solution once I become a Sports Attorney
