CALL TO ACTION: See below and share widely:

We need ALL hands on deck. This will be our last opportunity to push for the termination of this program until the new school year. The last trustee board meeting for this year will be next Monday. (June 22)
On June 22nd, there will be a motion put forward at the trustee board meeting that calls for the full termination of the police liaison program. This motion is being put forward by the human rights and equity advisory committee.
During the meeting on June 8th, an amendment was put forward to suspend the police liaison program until the review was complete. This amendment to the motion unfortunately did not pass.
The trustees that voted AGAINST this amendment to suspend the program under review are:
@Alex__Johnstone: ward 11 & 12
@penny_deathe: ward 15
@becky_buck: ward 8 & 14
@CarolePaikinM66: ward 5
Kathy Archer: Ward 6
Dawn Danko: Ward 7

Abstained: @christinebingh3: wards 1, 2
Please email and call the above trustees and urge them to vote in support of the termination of the program.
The trustees that voted FOR the amendment are:
@mfelix_miller: ward 3
@camproosic (student trustee)
@Cam_Galindo: wards 9 and 10
@AhonaMehdi(student trustee)
@PaulTut2: ward 13

Email them and ask them to support the call for the full termination of the program.
We will not stop fighting, but we need your help. We have put together a new email template to send to all the trustees. This email asks that they support the call to terminate the SRO program.
If you’ve sent emails, we need you to send some more, follow up. Demand that cops be removed from schools. Feel free to cc us at [email protected] so that we can follow along. We will be keeping track of all the emails being sent and we will update you on #’s
