Scout Report: Justin Kluivert
Hey everyone! Today’s scout report is on Justin Kluivert as he is heavily linked to Arsenal as part of a swap deal that includes Henrik Mkhitaryan. This thread should give you all the tactical insight you need to know who he is as a player and what he can bring to the club!
Current Ability: 6.5/10
Potential Ability: 8/10

(10 being a World Class Player)
In order to get the best idea of who Kluivert is as a player I watched 6 different games. 3 of which he had a g/a involvement and finished with a 7.1 match rating or above. And 3 where he didn’t have a goal involvement and finished with a 6.4 and below.
Justin Kluivert is a very interesting player to analyze due to his potential ability and his overall performances this season. The teenager has 7 goals and 1 assist in 27 Apps and is versatile enough to play both RW(M) and LW(M). Although he performs better on the left.
As you can see from the map, Kluivert whether playing on the left or right always seems to cut in and go for a shot on goal in the central areas of the pitch. The first map shows where he has received the ball in open play whilst the second shows how many were converted to goals
Clearly, Justin has a better conversion rate on the left and for that reason along side his stronger foot being the right, I would consider him a more effective left winger rather than a right winger
I would say Justin has a combination of strengths that help boost his game. This includes his ability to dribble with both feet, his Pace, and his shooting range. The explosiveness he gets when using this combination helps him beat opposition defenders seemlessly and effectively
Although his overall explosiveness is good, Kluivert’s key weaknesses come in the form of his strength and vision. His errors upfront mostly come when he either plays the wrong pass or is dominated by his marker. Both weaknesses however can luckily be developed with time

Final Verdict: Justin Kluivert for sure is one for the future and has recently gone a bit under the radar lately. His explosiveness reminds me of Theo Walcott and coming from me that’s really high praise. I personally think that he might struggle a lot more in the Prem 1/n
For a combination of reasons but mostly because of his lackluster vision and his underwhelming stength. For Arsenal specifically, even though I feel like he would be a decent signing in terms of addition to the squad, I can’t help but feel like he will slow down 2/n
The progression of players like Bukayo Saka, Martinelli, Riess Nelson, ESR and others. Because of this, I personally wouldn’t want to include him in the Mkhitaryan deal as he would cost us extra funds that could be useful when pursuing our more important transfers 3/n
That’s all for this thread guys! Hope you enjoyed because like I said I will be doing this regularly and they take a lot of work so please RT and comment if you have any suggestions for me 👊
I apologize for calling him a teenager btw, I am fully aware he is 21. I guess while writing it I got confused 😂🤝 #WEMOVE
