someone tweeted about a harry shirt and wearing it to l’s show and someone responded with this tweet and like can i just say like i get the point but ??? it doesn’t matter what you wear to a show- cont.

like growing up in the punk scene everyone wore diff band shirts to shows because it’s just how you express what type of music you like,, it formed bonds with people while waiting in line or standing in the pit?

just because h&l used to be in a band together doesn’t mean it’s offensive to wear others merch at their shows? it’s not wrong for someone to wear 1D merch to a solo tour? so like i don’t get why it’s any different. i get that there’s a ship involved but you have to understand-

almost every group or any public figure has a ship or something like that going on. like ariana is shipped with people... she’s even shipped with harry but y’all wouldn’t complain about someone wearing ari merch to a h show? or people who wear h merch to taylor shows??

i get that Iarry is more complex and bigger but i don’t think that it’s going to offend L if someone wears H merch to his show,, they’re ex-band mates and are still friends. they’re not scared of each other lmao. they still talk about each other on their own in interviews so??

also the likelihood of any of them even seeing the merch is low... like there’s over 3,000 people in one tiny space.

it’s just so toxic to force this idea that all of the boys are uncomfortable with the idea of each other or 1D even. apparently they all still talk? they wouldn’t do that if they hated each other.

at the end of the day,, just bc someone wears H merch at an L show doesn’t mean they’re doing it bc of Iarry? it’s literally just bc they like both of their music??? i know there are Iarries that go out of their way to make signs about Iarry but that’s completely diff to a shirt

it’s really not that deep. worry about your clothes and not someone else’s. you shouldn’t tell people what and what not to wear. if someone feels COMFORTABLE and CONFIDENT in that,, dont take that away from them. ITS NOT YOUR PLACE TO DECIDE THAT. you’re not god or sumn ffs.

TO ADD ON: some artists merch are more a brand like golf (tyler the creator),, and tbh i wear my tpwk rainbow hoodie as like a pride thing. it’s not like i wear my tpwk hoodie and my x’s smiley hat as a L*RRY thing? i just want to show that i like their music. i’m an ot5 stan ffs

and if you see someone wearing both their merch and automatically jump to the idea of a ship then i think YOURE the one with the problem. YOURE the one making it about a ship.
