I am sick to my stomach for Crissy right now. I’m not sure at what point it became taboo for women to wear bathing suits... at literal beaches (and pools), but it’s infuriating. I got news for everyone: women can be professional AND womanly. Crazy right? We don’t have to choose. https://twitter.com/crissy_froyd/status/1273455908912336896
I know thats immensely frustrating for some men, because then you can’t put us in a box. It’s always been either “professional + successful” or “hot + dumb”. Well guess what morons: we can be more than one thing. To shame a woman for looking or feeling LIKE A WOMAN is vile.
Had a male reporter posted the same photos in his Billabong board shorts, no one bats an eye. Even if Crissy wanted to be a Sports Illustrated model while reporting, THATS COOL AS HELL. We aren’t letting you stick us in just one box anymore. I got your back @crissy_froyd.
I want everyone to know as a woman the mental affects degrading her body or shaming her for posting something other than what you deem “appropriate” can have. It’s dangerous and it’s not okay.
If you don’t have anything nice to say.... you know the rest. The world is already hard enough, especially right now. It costs $0 to be kind and another $0 mind your business. Let’s try to do both.
