The last two weeks has made it clear we've reached the end of the beginning. The last three months, which seemed quick and felt like an eternity, will look short in hindsight as we adjust to the next phase of life.

Leaders failed at every level. Trump, and a few Governors, were especially poor. Perhaps criminally poor, but since no one in government is ever held accountable we'll see no action once this is over.

The failures are far too numerous for this thread. I think the coordinated lying about masks early in the pandemic sums it up best.

The lying being revealed should have led to mass, shame-based, resignations in a sane society.
