Would it be petty of me to send a complaint to my property manager about our new neighbors who smoke all day long in front of our building entrance/outside my porch and leave their butts scattered all over the ground?

(Worth noting, in this same area, little kids play outside with their families and neighbors)

Update: A formal complaint was filed. All they offered to do was send out a “community-wide reminder” about the property’s smoking policies and will have maintenance clean it up. Not sure what it will do, but it’s a start!!

Mantainence came out to clean up all the cigarette butts, and sure enough, these new smoking-tenants come out as a family and leave not only their butts, but their young daughter left behind plastic wrappers.

I swear, I wouldnt care if it wasn’t done right in front of my window!
