Unpopular opinion: when most of you discuss white women wrt slavery, you don’t get it.

It’s not that white women had loads of power (which you all claim), it’s that they were juxtaposed as lily white,pure,virginal,proper & black women were positioned as their opposite

Lots of ppl on here mouth off tho they’re wrong (even when a bit right, they miss the point). Ex: why ‘raping’ of white women used against black men/to kill them? Cuz white woman was property of white man,an object. But I guess we gonna act like white women did all slavery now

I’m not saying they weren’t complicit or that they’re blameless but too many dudes, esp white dudes absolve themselves or make like it was women & not men had power

I’m saying there was a hierarchy and while women still second to white men but some of you seem to forget this or elide cuz Karen
